Dear classmates,
I would like to share with you all how I use Dizigui to build trust with my relatives that I met first time. Yesterday, me and my dad went to Karak Pahang, with a distance of 1 ½ hour drive north east from Kuala Lumpur, center of Lujiang Cultural Education Centre. Btw, I and my dad are now on the same term which is another story that I will tell later on. Karak is a fairly large town within the state of Pahang with 10,000 voters[i]. The Chinese people are mostly predominant in agriculture field and they have a unique habit where they don't like to stay in their farm. This is a trend that is currently happening in that village which is another story for me to tell perhaps later on. We went there with another relative, piu sok. The purpose of the visit is to find agricultural land.
So, when we arrived, we were like guest of honour, tables with teas ready in front of the house and piu sok's brothers were there to greet us. It is customary here to call all nearby family members to greet another relative that came from far away. So, after a brief introduction, I was in an awkward situation, I do not have similar age relatives to talk with. My dad was chatting away with the relatives on vegetables and fruits. So, on one side of the round table me and my relative were looking at each other face blank. Luckily I saw one of my relative's nephew and so I broke the ice and asked if the nephew (6 yrs old) likes internet. That topic went from the bad influence of internet to banning from using computer and cell phone. Aha, I could talk about Dizigui. I told them about the importance of learning our root as part of the family members. So many future problems can be solved by learning Dizigui. I elaborated that with strong family foundation, we will not have to worry about bad influences. The relatives were in awe and in agreement with me. So classmates, with such short conversation, I gain the trust from my relatives and I also planted a seed in them and when the seed mature, they will look for Lujiang Cultural Education Centre for futher guidance. Awesome story - hope you can provide strong foundations to the agricultural families. We really depend on them for sustenance.
